Bonnie can’t find the words to protest. Her tongue’s too thick, her mind’s too foggy, and her limbs feel like weights she cannot afford. Bonnie can remember the stinging taste of her vodka, like fire down her throat. She can remember her conversation with Stefan at the grill. But she doesn’t know this house, and she doesn’t know who’s holding her and why he keeps addressing her as love.
(Bonnie can remember the look in his eyes when she runs away from him, and her heart falls and soars)
Stefan is all rage when he exclaims, “You can’t have her! I’m not leaving without her!”
(She’s the morale he holds onto, a compass that is unwavering, and Stefan thinks he can’t survive without her)
Kol steps in front of Stefan’s shaking body and his menacing smile does nothing to hide the contempt in his voice, “She stays with us Salvatores.”
(Kol will rip these brothers and bleed them dry; his witch is a queen and he’ll ensure she lives like one)
